The 2026 Taiwan Design Expo will take place in Taoyuan from September 24 to October 11. KING'S Solution will exhibit the SmartEdge benchtop low-pressure injection molding machine at A6 “TAOPIA,” with hands-on experience activities available on weekends during the expo.
More Than Seeing Design — Experience It Hands-On
Participants can operate SmartEdge themselves and use a bio-based low-pressure molding material derived from castor oil to complete the waterproof encapsulation of a Type-C charging cable, experiencing the low-pressure injection molding process firsthand.
Low-pressure injection molding can be used for cables, PCBs, and electronic module encapsulation, providing protection against water, dust, and vibration. SmartEdge brings a manufacturing process typically found on factory production lines to a desktop scale, allowing visitors to observe and operate it up close.
By molding at lower pressure, the process can help reduce energy consumption and lower the risk of damage to electronic components. For KING'S, sustainability is more than a slogan. It is a practical commitment that begins with material selection and extends through process design.
How to Join the SmartEdge Hands-On Experience
- Subscribe to the KING'S Solution YouTube channel.
- Wait for your queue number to be called, then operate SmartEdge to complete the waterproof encapsulation of a Type-C charging cable.
- After completing the experience, take a photo with SmartEdge and share it on any social media platform.
- Add “#KINGS_TaiwanDesignExpo” to your post, and you can take home the Type-C charging cable you completed.
50 Spots per Session — First Come, First Served
Each session is limited to 50 participants. Visitors can scan the on-site QR code to join the queue, with spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each participant must register using their own mobile phone. Each queue number is valid for one participant only, and each mobile phone may be used to complete the experience once during the event period.
Children may participate only when accompanied by an adult throughout the entire hands-on experience.
During the 2026 Taiwan Design Expo, visitors are invited to stop by the A6 TAOPIA exhibition area and spend just three minutes completing the waterproof encapsulation of a Type-C charging cable. Through SmartEdge, visitors can discover a new side of Taoyuan manufacturing and sustainable design.
